Colombia has rhythm in its blood. It is a country that makes you vibrate with its emotions, where you can choose the destination of your choice.
In its 1,141,748 km² of surface you can find landscapes as different as Andean peaks, virgin Caribbean coast, Amazon rainforest, archaeological ruins and colonial cities: Colombia has everything for an ideal trip

The People

Colombia is the second happiest country in the world, surpassed only by the Fiji islands, according to an annual survey conducted by Gallup, WIN and the Consulting Center.
It has a population of 49.65 million inhabitants, it is a multi-ethnic society, because of that the culture is so diverse, unique and fascinating wherever you go. As you travel, you may notice the cultural nuances among regions.

The Language

The official language is Spanish, but in some regions we can also find a lot of indigenous languages, belonging to each territory.

Main touristic places

Cartagena

The crown jewel of Colombia’s Caribbean coast and one of the best-preserved colonial destinations in the Americas. The city also known as the “Corral de Piedra” because of the huge walls that surround its historical city center, which have survived high tides, pirates and privateers.

Caño Cristales

This “river of five colors ” in the Serranía de La Macarena National Park was off limits for decades while in the grip of guerrilla fighters. The aquatic plants that grow in the river give it a vibrant red color from June to November, and the colors are brightest in August and September. The area is pretty remote to access by land, so your best option is to book through a tour company.

Las Lajas Sanctuary

A beautiful basilica church located in the south of Colombia, close to the border with Ecuador.  Its beautiful Gothic architecture rising out from a canyon, was built to commemorate a sighting of the Virgin Mary on the rock face during a storm in the 17th century.

This is because the country is located on the Equator, which means the sun rises and sets at the same time all year round and the season stays the same, unlike almost every other country in the world. There are just two seasons: dry & rainy. The topographical diversity of Colombia provides a huge variety of landscapes, biodiversity and thermal floors
